Baked Spiced Apple

4 pcs apples, peeled and cored (thinly slice the apples and transversely, stack the slices to reconstruct the apple shape)

1/4 tsp McCormick Allspice

1/2 tsp McCormick Cinnamon Ground

1/4 tsp McCormick Nutmeg Ground

1/8 tsp McCormick Black Peppermill Grind

1/2 cup brown sugar

6 tbsps butter softened

4 tbsps beer


For the Sauce

liquid the apples after baking

2 tbsps butter

4 tbsps sugar

1/2 cup sour cream



fresh mint leaves, cinnamon sticks, toasted almond flakes, cracked black pepper, brown sugar


  1. Place apples in a foil-lined baking pan. Rub the butter, spices, sugar and beer. Bake in a preheated 300 °F over for about an hour.
  2. Place the liquid the baked apples in a saute pan. Stir in sugar and caramelize. Add in butter and sour cream.
  3. To plate: place a piece of apple in the center of the plate. Drizzle sauce, garnish with mint leaves and cinnamon stick. Sprinkle some almonds, cracked pepper and sugar around the plate.
