Giant Prawns Bathed in Dark Beer and Spices

Giant Prawns Bathed in Dark Beer and Spices

Ingredients

1.5 Kilo Prawns

½ Bottle Dark Beer

¼ Cup Whole Butter

2 Cloves Chopped Garlic

1 tsp McCormick Oregano Leaves Ground

1 tsp McCormick Turmeric Ground

McCormick Iodized Salt and McCormick Black Pepper Ground to Taste 

Chopped Parsley for garnish


Directions

  1. In a tall pot, sautée butter, garlic and prawns in medium heat.
  2. Before the prawns turn red add half a bottle of dark beer, Turmeric and Oregano, salt and Black Pepper to taste.  
  3. Cook for 5 - 6 minutes. Turn off heat and serve.
Serving tip: prawns can be served with the sauce or sauce can be a siding in a gravy bowl, for those who like it in their rice! 

Tip: for easier eating of the prawn. With sharp knife try cutting the prawn from the top of the head down to the tail and open like a butterfly. It’s quite popular served this way at my home. 
You may also serve this with a lemon butter siding.
