Katsu is a crispy fried cutlet of meat or seafood made with flaky Japanese panko breadcrumbs.

Katsu Curry consists of a crispy pork cutlet cut into long strips and served with thick, flavorsome Japanese curry sauce and a side of rice.

  • Coating Mix 85g
  • Curry Sauce 40g

Usage Tips


  • ½ kg pork steak
  • 1pc egg, beaten with 1 tbsp. water
  • Oil for deep-frying, preheat over medium heat


  • 1 diced potato, boiled
  • 1 diced carrot, boiled


  1. Dip each piece of pork steak in egg wash
  2. Open Pack (1), Coat in McCormick Tonkatsu Coating Mix
  3. Deep Fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. To make the sauce: OPEN Pack (2). Dissolve McCormick Curry Sauce Mix in 1 cup (250ml) hot water.
  5. Optional: Add boiled carrots and potatoes to curry sauce
  6. Pour sauce over fried pork steak and serve.
